Meet the OASA Staff

  • Beth Caraher

  • Beth began working for OASA in early March.  She was brought in to assist with the database project and assist with the busy season.

  • This is what Beth has to say about herself:
I am originally from central New York state (Utica - Rome area).
I have played soccer since I was 4 years old. I went up through the local soccer ranks, select teams, ODP, AYSO, etc. I played on varsity in high school for 4 years (I also played basketball and softball). I played in college, at a division 3 SUNY (state university of New York) school @ Geneseo. Then I moved to Portland and started playing at Portland indoor (coed and women's) and on the land rover outdoor team (which went to London to play in a tournament in 2003 - we represented the USA!).
I am a special education teacher at a day treatment / lock down facility for emotionally disturbed children. However, my classroom is unique; I serve any child that comes to the school that also is mentally retarded, so i work with kindergarten - 6th grade. I just ended my sixth year teaching and absolutely love it! I have a Bachelor's and Master's in Special Education and I’m currently working on an autism certificate at PSU.
I also love to camp, hike, and travel. Last year, my boyfriend and I drove across country and back in six weeks.

     That’s me!
     ~Beth

  • Tom Seibel

  • Tom also began working for OASA in early March.  He too was brought in to assist with the database project and assist with the busy season.

  • This is what Tom has to say about himself:                                 Greetings to all,

Hello, my name is Tom Seibel I am going to be 32 years old in July. I hail from Damascus OR, and have lived there most of my life. I was a rough & tumble soccer player into high school as well as a long distance runner in track, until an injury on the field of play forced me to the sidelines. I have played in the past on a men's soccer team, but the time frame escapes me. I have also played off & on indoor soccer, but it's been awhile!

So far working here at O.A.S.A is my primary job, but I am looking into positions where I have the most training in, which is in security, and or dispatching. Having worked for the University of Portland Public Safety Dept. For five years prior to this position. But if I am needed, I can always be called upon to assist. As for working at O.A.S.A, it is a most enjoyable. I am definitely learning a lot, and knowledge is the basis for everything, and you can never get enough.

So I am an avid soccer fan, but I do have other interests. Such as playing golf, going fishing, or being outdoors. I also write, stories and poetry, and have aspirations of becoming published one day. That's if I am not in a constant state of re-write.

    Thanks for the time,

    Tom Seibel

  • Alyssa Ledesma

  • Alyssa began working for OASA in early March of 2007.  Alyssa’s responsibilities include but are not limited to nearly all day-to-day office operations, such as player cards, player insurance, game reports, and red cards.  Over the next several months I’ll be spending time working with Alyssa to learn other, less common procedures.

  • This is what Alyssa has to say about herself:

Hey - I'm Alyssa, though most of my teammates call me Al.  I've been         working at OASA for about a year and a half now.  I played soccer against Anne for a number of years and I always considered her my nemesis, as we're both really awesome goalkeepers (quite arguably the best in the Portland area).  That was until we ended up in physical therapy together by chance about three years ago.  We slowly became friends and she offered me a job a year later.

I've been playing soccer for pretty much my entire life.  I worked for four years at Salem Indoor Soccer during high school and then went on to Macalester College in Minnesota on a scholarship.  My team took the national championships my freshman year, which was truly an amazing experience.  I used to do a little bit of refereeing as well as coaching at both the high school and college level.  I'm 28 now and if it weren't for my current knee injury I'd most likely be playing on about 8 teams (both indoor and outdoor).  In the past couple of years I've decided to hang up my keeper gloves and try my luck as a striker.  I pretty much dominate as a field player, so I wouldn't mess with me if you're faced with the opportunity.

My second sport is cycling, which I picked up about 3 years ago.  I try to ride my bike as often as possible and have spent the past two spring/summers training for and riding centuries.  I'm pretty fast on the soccer field, but I'm even faster on my bike. If anyone wants to challenge me to race, just let me know - you'll probably be sorry you did.

Other than that I'm finishing up my Bachelor's degree in Criminology at Portland State University.  I go to school part-time and expect to graduate this winter.  I hope to enter the field of Crime Analysis once I finish school.  I'm pretty sure I've covered all of the important things about me.  I look forward to meeting all of you at some point if I haven't already!

  •   Robbin Hansen

  • Robbin began working for OASA in September, 2005.  Robbin’s primarily works in the office on Saturdays and during periods when Anne travels for work.

  • This is what Robbin has to say about herself:

I have been playing for 23 years.  Played both at the state level and     regionally before college.  I briefly was an assistant coach at the premier club level for U15 girls.  Love the sport and will probably play until my body just quits.  I’m a stay at home mom with lovely son, and 2nd child on the way.  I’m an occasional substitute teacher, water aerobics instructor and have a dessert business on the side I do as a hobby.
