Select Teams
OASA organizes Select (All-Star) teams for men and women to provide high-level
training and competition to benefit and enhance adult players, and to provide
opportunities to showcase their talents in a competitive atmosphere in front of
Regional, Divisional, National Staff Coaches, and professional Coaches. Every
OASA registered player is eligible to tryout for these teams. Generally tryouts
are in the winter (January or February), a pool of players is selected, from the
pool a team is formed to attend the Regional event. At the regional event an all
star team of players is selected to represent our region at the US Soccer
Festival. Also, the wining team continues on compete in the George F Donnelly
Cup which is the national championship of State Select Teams. Oregon is the only
state ever to win both the men’s and the women’s national championship in the
same year, pulling it off in 1998 Photos.
Please email OASA for information about select teams tryouts or check out the
news section for upcoming events.
