Important Dates for our Region:

Below is some guidance information.

TO ENTER:
1. Download the entry form and complete, go on line to WWW.USASA.com and go to download.
2. Contact your State Cup Commissioner and find out what cost are, to region IV we need $225. For all men and Women open, all the other teams the cost are $175.00. Be advised that the state may add cost on top of that.
3. Send completed form and entry fees to the State Cup Commissioner. The form MUST BE TYPED.
TO PREPARE:
1. All players must be registered to your team not less than 10 days prior to your first game

2. All players must be registered as an amateur in your State Association unless they are professional players. Professional players must be registered on a Professional Player Form by USSF and by your State Association.

3. ONLY amateur players may play in the Men's Amateur and Women's Amateur competition. Professional players may play in all other competitions as long as they are registered as a professional player.

4.Any player not born in the USA must have international clearance. If a player came to this country before the age of 12 years old, they must have documentation on file (such as school records or doctor office records. All others must have clearance by USSF. Your State Registrar should be doing this as a part of the registration

 THE GAMES:
1.      Your State Cup Commissioner will let you know when the State games are to be played. The type of competition (round robin, single elimination) is at the discretion of your State Association.
2.      The winners of the State competitions will advance to the Regional competition. The Regional competition will be a round robin format. Your state might get several entries to the regional based on how many states enter. The Regional will be held in Seattle Washington for all competitions except the Men’s Open, which will be in either San Francisco or Sacramento.
3.      Winners of the regional competition will go on to the National Competition. 16 plane tickets will be provided you. The competition is held over three days and is a single elimination competition against the winners of the three other regions. This final competition determines the National Champion in each of the eight competitions.
4.      No game in any of the National Cup games may be played without the respective Regional Cups Commissioner being in possession of the entry form and fees of each of the teams involved.
5.      If a game is not completed because one of the teams is unable to field at least seven players, the score will stand as of the moment of termination or abandonment. However, if the team responsible for abandonment has more goals than the opposing team, or the game is tied, the opposing team will be awarded a forfeit victory.
6.      Any scheduled game in which a team forfeits will result in a 3:0 score for the opponent.
